Maybe, that's if I ever get this engine back together in time. With the way Toyota are working I might have to bring the Cobra. Not sure how far off road it will get me though.

            • Must have been bad luck month (July) for the Bushbasher family: camper trailer suspension damaged, trailer water pump breaks, camper roof rack breaks, Prado blows engine, windshield and lights smashed during tow, wife's car blows thermostat housing (2 weeks to get the right part from Korea), trailer spare tyre stolen, nephews F6 Typhoon stolen and trashed. Hopefully things will be better for August.

                        • What a beautiful day in Sydney today.
I went for a drive to some of our Northern Beaches hoping to see some whales from the cliff tops - but no luck with the whale sightings.
On the way home I had the displeasure of driving Epping rd (could not be bothered paying $5 to crawl on the M2). Now why is it that in most normal countries (now I have travelled a bit) when they build a road, and then a few years down the track the road may get widened from say 2 lanes to 3 (perfect logic). We have to turn a good piece of road that was once 3 lanes into 2 and then (yes this gets better) into 1 lane. Where is the logic in that - we don't improve our roads, we stuff them up.
I pity those who travel that stretch of road every day.
I know Epping rd is not the only road that has been changed, there are others, just look at the CBD.
What is wrong with our Government? Seems like we like going backwards. Last time time I heard we were talking about 30km/h speed limits (might as well walk, then that stupid lord mayor in town will be really happy).
                          Just my rant for today.

                            • So today I drive my girlfriend and her family to a funeral 200kms away, on the way back (running in my km2's 4 days old) I got the old red and blue light flash in the distance, had the cruise set to 105, but with the new tyres the policeman got me for 114. I should have checked the speedo already with the new tyres but hadn't got to it yet, didn't think it would be that far out!
Oh well good on the policeman for doing his job, he also told me because I have never had a ticket I should be able to get off it with a warning, just got to write them a nice letter.
That's the thing that ticked me off today!
                              Cheers, Josh

                              • I sold my hard wheel cover through the forum - great transaction, so very happy with that. I had to ship the cover to the East and used a baggage handling company who in turn contracted TNT. Cost $90 but not a problem. They have just hit me with an $80 extra charge for 'not measuring the box' - extra freight charge plus a fine! The box I shipped was 85 x 80 x 38 cm, they are claiming 176 x 57 x 48 cm. They didn't contact me, I only found out because they charged my Credit Card.

I've sent them photographs of the cover and pointed out that it couldn't fit in a box with those dimensions but still they say I'm wrong and should measure properly in future

They say they need photo's of the box with a tape measure against it or a receipt for buying the box that shows the dimensions! When I said they should prove the dimensions by providing a photograph of the box they claim I was told they can't do that! Not sure how I'm supposed to photograph the box after it's been sent.

I've reported the transaction to my Bank as a fraudulent charge so will have to see if they uphold this.

I actually shipped it from my work address and when I spoke to our Office Manager about it she said she had the same thing happen with TNT on work parcels before - as much as $1,300 over charge! I mentioned this to the baggage handling company and they said 'yes, it happens all the time'. If it happens all the time why are they treating me as the bad guy?

Anyone know if there is some Government body that I can complain to? I know $80 probably isn't going to be worth spending a fortune trying to recover but it's the principal. Stand by to see me on 'A Current Affair'
