I've reported the transaction to my Bank as a fraudulent charge so will have to see if they uphold this.

Good move - I've done this type of thing before. It throws the onus back onto them.

I recently serviced my other Toyota (Kluger) and was in a rush to pick it up, so wasn't given a copy of the service report. Asked them to post it out. When I've checked it, I see that instead of the set Toyota Advantage set price fee of $170, I was charged around $250. In addition, an extra $30 for some safety check that was also conducted even though I never asked for this nor was it ever mentioned to me at the time of booking or drop off.

Needless to say - I've just lodged a formal complaint and requested a prompt refund.

there used to be a "Department of weights and measures" who looked after this sort of thing, they were the ones who checked weighbridges, fuel bowsers etc.

I think it is now the "Trade Measurement" part of the "National Measurement Institute".

I'm pretty sure it's up to TNT to prove their version of the size not you to prove your version.

Today some low life POS pinched my Safari snorkel head at Beaudesert shopping centre. I suppose I can count myself lucky they did not take the Lightforce spotties or anything else while they were at it.
Looking on the internet it is over $100 for a genuine replacement, probably the reason why they were looking for a "free" one.
I have a dashboard DVR which was recording but the snorkel is just out of view although I can see on the video a very suspicious Ford Falcon very slowly park next to my Prado and then some shadows cast on the bonnet but nothing conclusive.

Everytime I have a job at Grand Plaza Browns Plains I wonder if my car will be there when I come back... I hope the footage comes to something. You never know, that Falcon might be 'known' to police or something.

Thanks Snaga, good point. Worth trying I guess. I have always found Beaudesert Police are pretty good.

I post them not so much so people can view why I was suspicious but more to show how valuable these In-Car DVR doovalackie things can be. Not just for security and potential insurance issues but as a bit of fun.
I often view the footage at home after a day's outing over a vino or two.
My unit is a Blackvue (no affiliation etc, etc) with built in GPS. I have had it for about 12 months and couldn't be happier.

This is where I think the head was taken. You will notice a Chinese gentleman walking past and looking at where the Falcon would be. This is closely followed by a vague outline of someone who unfortunately is unrecognizable.

Anyway, given that some members have completely lost their Prado and everything in it I guess I am lucky and my case is really small potatoes.
Still irritating nonetheless.

Hi Ray, I would say you may be right ?? How far apart are those clips ?? It only takes a certain time to park and get out of the car. It seems a bit suss the chinese bloke having a glance across. I reckon it would be worth chasing up with the cops. Also is there any other security camera's on the site near or looking towards your car ???...... Cheers Steve

Hi Steve, the time between the clips is just 2 minutes. I asked the security guy at the centre but the cameras do not cover that particular area.
I will call into Beaudesert Police station on the way home tonight.
