  • Trade Price on spare Parts.

Does anyone know if you can buy Toyota Parts online some where or buy them at trade price.Pradopoint discount would be good?

I'm doing a 120000km service and don't know if Places like Coventry’s or Auto One sell Genuine parts or lubricants.

Just curious as to what other people do when they DIY mechanics. Toyota dealers seem to charge different prices depending which dealer you ring.

Have you tried asking for trade price at your dealer? Sometimes they do it without asking for an ABN.

Or... if you know someone with an ABN get them to start a "Cash Account". It's a trade account without any credit, you have to pay when you pick up your parts.

Or... check out Ebay... I've noticed a couple of dealers selling of genuine parts (excess stock). Try emailing them to see what they can do for you.

        Hi all

All dealers are different. I found Cairns gave a bit of a discount, Mt Isa were the most generous, Darwin were fair, Broome were a bit tight, Karratha were like fishes ar**es and Kalgoorlie were second to Mt Isa.
So it just goes to show that you always have to ask but you won't always receive.

        Cheers - John

Re: Trade Price on spare Parts.

I went to one near Perth today who had a sign up stating they do not negotiate.

NO TRADE ORDER. NO TRADE DISCOUNT.

The cost of parts have sky rocketed.

          5th March 2009

          $114.60 RRP Rear Brakes
          $60.30 RRP Air Filter
          $78.90 RRP Fuel Filter
$45.85 RRP 4L Engine red long life Coolant (need 2 containers)
          $10.80 RRP 500ml Dot3 brake fluid(need 2 containers)

Thats just some of the gear I need.
I'm glad I can do some of it myself as labour would be $120+ph I guess.

          O what a feeling.

Re: Trade Price on spare Parts.

Well I did some hunting around and finally found a nice Toyota Dealer who looked after me and saved me almost $100 on retail.

So it does pay to ask around and not all dealers are the same.

Ive now changed the rear pads,Bleed and replaced all the brake fluid,Changed the oil and filter,Crossed changed the tires, replaced air filter,Removed the second battery to fully charge it on a deep cycle charger.28 hours to charge.

            Still to do.
Flush cooling system and replace coolant,Replace diff oil in both diffs, change fuel filter, grease 6 nipples on tail shalft.Inspect cv joints ,bushes and anything else that looks like it needs TLC.

Then go to Leachys for a BBQ.

Re: Trade Price on spare Parts.

The Pp members in Perth if your after parts it doesn't have to be Genuine Toyota on all items eg genuine plugs are denso plugs which can be purchased at a lot cheaper at a reseller store . But any service parts you need PM me and I will give you a contact on parts at trade price close to your destination ... As far as Hitech Brake and Clutch goes in Wangara I know the owner of the place and may even get better prices for you . I have been in the parts game for over 25yrs and have a couple of contacts arround the state .

                    cheers Tony
