Mine is cycling well i suppose i do live in Melbourne. Photos are from aroud the Bay 2008 me in the yellow with black sleves (2009 training is currently underway) :x

Photography is a hobby of mine that I spend way too much money on too be honest :lol: Probably spend more on photog gear than I do on the Prado. :shock: My next lens is going to set me back around $6K if I can get it at a bargain price. :twisted:

Here is a moon shot I took recently, hand held with my Canon 5DMk2 using a Sigma 80-400mm lens at 400mm setting.




Way better than anything I managed to get out of my telescope.

Mav, I feel your pain. Do I get a lift kit or some more classic Pentax glass? Photography stands between me and a fully-kitted out rig. Then again, it provides memories of the Fourbee and the Furbees:

Photography.

My photography gear got a head start on the Prado. But I don't think I will ever spend that much on the Prado than on my photography gear already.

Nice shot Mav - bit better than I've managed to get but I've got no decent long glass and take mine through the eyepiece using extension tubes on the lens for close focus (now that's tricky). I've also been bitten by the photography bug (landscapes) - used to have a medium format setup but didn't have the time to get out and use it so sold it an bought a Fender Precision bass guitar



Also dabbled in astronomy (8"reflector) but gee...what a money pit that can be...plus I'm on the edge of Sydney's light polution and have some large trees around me so that can be a bit frustrating. Mav - got any decent shots of Jupiter ? - mine never look that good.

Love to go fishing and now have a little tinnie so hoping to get a lot of use out of that as the weather gets better and the fish come back

No I have not bothered to do much in the way of planet photography besides the moon. If I ever manage to get my longed for big gun Canon then I might give it a go.

Looks like it is a common combo, 4wding and photography.

I too, am one of those who spends too much photopgraphy gear that could otherwise be invested in the Prado...

Well, I'm the opposite... my prado is currently sucking my photography budget dry :cry: Just as well both photography AND the Playdoh are tax deductible items
Put in a Pre-order for the 1Ds mkIV which has hit the rumour mill recently... hope that doesn't kill my chances of a bull bar and winch.

My hobby is probably fishing. Don't get to do it any where near enough but the FIL has just bought an 18' Shark Cat so hopefully we'll get onto the water soon.

Oh, and sad but true... I still call photography a hobby even though it's been my livelihood for the last 14 years
