I've been sitting on the side of Stuart HWY in Darwin for the past 5 hours trying to flog our camper defiantly not cold but bloody boring.

It has been blowing a gale in Brisbane, dust and leaves blowing everywhere and generally unpleasant. I got so bored that I rotated the tyres on the Prado.

Definitely not cold up here in the Top End. Nice and warm and a little humid - in fact, just turned on the aircons to cool the house down for dinner - a nice spicy pasta with sausage, chilli, olives and cherry tomatoes accompanied with some fancy garlic bread. Might even open a bottle of red wine to go with it.

Once it has cooled down outside, will also give the Prado a wash.

I spent most of the (Bloody windy) day cutting down palm leaves from my cocos palms that are about 6mtrs high, The neigbour had a laugh when he seen my 3mtr lopping saw with a 3mtr old pool scoop pipe duct taped and screw together swaying in the breeze. But hey it did the job even if the palm leaves kept falling on the optus lines whilst was trying to hold a beer and swing the leaves away from all the cables . I opted to leave the chainsaw in the shed as the beer goggles ops: were starting to take effect and it wouldn't be pretty playing with a chainsaw in that state.:roll:

Cold and windy in Richmond. Almost got so bored that I washed the dust off the Prado from the other day. Thought better of it in the end and just fished around on PP for the arvo.

I was so cold and bored that we bought ourselves a new Black Wolf Turbo Tent. Sweet! Wish I had that in the Simpson.

Was out near Tenterfield, camping on the bro-in-law's massive property. Had a ball exploring a small section of it by 4x4, dirtbike and foot. 8)

Jumped in a jet today and flew Melbourne - Alice Springs - Melbourne.

Flew directly over Lake Eyre and pleased to report good water but only in the SW section of Lake Eyre North. Looks like it's still almost visible from Halligan's Bay but probably only at a distance. The rest of Lake Eyre is now dried up. Also flew over Simpson Desert. Couldn't locate from 37000' the French Line nor the WAA Line. Caught a glimps of what I assumed was the Rig Road, I think the rest has been covered by sand storms.

Went to the annual Legends Of League luncheon with work on Friday arvo, had a few of the usual suspects there, Blocka Roach, The Big Mahn,Mario Fenech, ET, Paul Sironen, Ian Schubert and Chris Anderson to name a few ( those that I can remember anyway)
The combination of beer, red wine and a couple of Woodstock 7% travellers proved a lethal combination so I spent the entire weekend nursing a force 9 hangover. Tried to wash and polish the car on Saturday arvo and only managed to polish one side before giving up and going inside to have another little lie down. Course the missus was full of sympathy :twisted:
Put another tarp over the boat on Sunday to replace the one the wind ripped in half and when the missus went to work, spent the rest of the day having more little lie downs.
Anyone would think that a man is getting old :shock:
