Re: YE OLD CHESCOLD
My old Chescold worked brilliantly on gas, pretty good on 240v, and kept things cold on 12v.
But best off filling it with cold stuff first up. Coped ok if you took a cold beer out and put a warm one in.
Less happy if you're wanting to chill a carton from hot.2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 SE

Re: YE OLD CHESCOLD
We still have our old brown Chescold 3 way Fridge/Freezer- hasn't been used much since we got a Waeco compressor fridge.
We sometimes use it as a drinks fridge for parties etc. I find it's best to to leave it overnight on half to 3/4 setting with drinks in it to get properly cold.
Once it is cold however I need to turn it down to about 1/4 otherwise it will freeze.
And if it is even slightly off level it makes a big difference.Cheers, Wayne
