What to do with the family?

G'day all,

After a few ideas on what to do with the family over the next couple of weeks. I'm in Brisbane Southside QLD so things to see and do around SEQ would be good. Have been out in the bush for the past few days (Spicers Gap, Condamine Gorge etc).

Thinking about heading down the Coast tomorrow but its abit of a waste (1.5 hour drive) with the rain still coming and going but will see what happens.

mate if you're on the southside, anywhere near the motorway then you'd be able to hit surfers in well under an hour. it's not a bad run down that way these days if the family likes the surf. other than that we've got my wife's brother over from scotland at the moment so there's a few ideas we've been floating around which may help

got the theme parks but they can add up the $'s if you take the whole family.
trip up to mt cootha to check out the lookout, there's plenty of parklands there for bbq's as well.
jump on one of the citycats and do a loop up and back on the river.
catch a ferry over to stradbroke or one of the other islands for a day trip
sunshine coast would be the best part of 1.5-2hours each way depending on if you do go caloundra right up to noosa.
take a walk around southbank (we normally tie this one in with the citycat run).

we could always organise a SEQ cruise as well, head up the mt mee/glasshouse mountains etc for a day trip!

Hey bud,

I'm actually out near Ripley near Ipswich but Bris Southside is close enough. Usually takes us around 1.0 to 1.5 hours to get down to the goldly or around 2.0 hours if we head up through Cunungra.

Will probably head up and do the Aus Zoo once the weather clears up abit.

Will probably take the boy out fishing next week.

Might head out and do abit of shooting over the next day or two then see what happens with the weather next week. Always the way getting the rain on Holidays (even though we do need it).
