  • Where did you get your nick?

I got wondering where other users got their nick name? Some are fairly predictable (PeteS and pradogxlv6), but others have no obvious explanation like Bitdist and DarkHorse and Embi and Piggy and WallyPoostax and such.

Chippy has already filled us in here.

My name is Andrew, as is my brother-in-law. My wife has three brothers all about 10-15 years younger than me. When they were kids it got well confusing having two Andrews around, and at the time Drew Carey was a hit on telly (can you believe that was 12 years ago  ) so Drew kinda stuck.

For a while at work we had three Andrews in the same building - so Drew started to stick there too. My folks hate it, I wish I cared!

So - time to fess up,

    Drew.

Now you're really being a comedian Chip!

I was born in the 1970's, but I had a passion for old cars so much when I was a young'n, I saved my money for a '58 Morrie and did it up as my first car. Another hobby to get back to one day.

BTW, I chose a Morrie cause I was a Holden bloke but couldn't afford a FJ! True! :-)

While at uni i had a room that looked down to the entry/exit door to my college. Admittedly im more of an armchair sportsman, and people started to realise i enjoyed sitting/lying around not exerting myself too much, hence Slug came about.
