    Great stuff Nige

From your map it looks like our paths will cross in the north of WA.

It looks like you're having a ball. Enjoy.

Damn, sorry I missed getting to see you Nige. We could have organised a family day out in Alice. Never mind I am sure you had a good time anyway.

We often go out to Glen Helen for something to do. We often remark about that rock formation as it does look like a whole load of dinosaurs have laid down nose to tail and died that way.

You might have found it interesting to know that the road that you drove on from Glen Helen to Alice was at one time at the bottom of a inland sea. I could have taken you to a place where you could pick up some neat fossils and admired the huge fossilised coral fronds sticking up out of the ground. You can walk through an ancient coral reef and pick up fossilised fish etc.

You can also go out to Gemtree and do some fossicking for gemstones there, there are lots of different varieties but mostly amethyst.

At least you managed to get a reasonable restaurant to eat in at the Dust Bowl. There are some other good ones and quite a few crap ones too.

        Cheers

            Yeah great work.

Will keep up to date with your reports. Luck buggers.
I noticed you have been keeping your days fairly short. The way to go if you ask me.
We did across OZ and had to get to Syd for a wedding in a short time so we were doing 800+ days. not much fun. On the way back we kept the Ks down in the interesting pits. Much more fun.

            Well done HG.

                Hey Nige

The trip update looks amazing - well done.

Same dramas here - finding reliable and fast enough internet access. I'm currently sitting at the bus stop - out the front of our CP in Airlie Beach - as it's the only place I can get a reliable wireless signal :?

Enjoy the hell of of it mate.

                Cheers

got decent wireless in the Big4 at Kununurra but paying by the hour gets expensive!

Just back from Bungles so hope to post update tomorrow and then we head off into the internet "wilderness" of the GGR.

                  Cheers, Nige

                    little update loaded.

forgot to mention, broke my aerial on road into bungles, but wasn't alone as my father in law had his snap clean off. we've both got fiberglass replacements on advice of local guy. will see how these perform!

another little update.. having trouble keeping up, too many things to see and do.

Broke another two aerials... fiberglass one going to Mitchell Falls and another similar one here in Broome although I took that back cause it did about 10m on a dirt road before it departed the vehicle!

                      Cheers, Nige
