Looking at doing this trip in the first week of the April School Holidays, Does any body know if there are any issues with the road, Vehicles will be 2 90 series prados, pathy and a 12o prado, one vehicle towing an offroad camper.

You will have no problems getting there, unless there is a heap of rain, as there are a few creek crossings.
For basic facilities, stay at the old township, has showers and toilets for a small fee.
It is best to advise the caretaker that you are coming, as the number of campers are restricted due to the limited facilities.
There is another free camping area with toilet only and little shade. You will need to bring your own water.
Take PLENTY of insect repellant (Bushmans is best) as the flies, mossies and spiders are plentiful!

I just used a Hema map, however there is a CMA or NPWS map available. Topo maps show all the (mostly closed) tracks so are not worthwhile. Plenty of info on the various websites.
There is basically only one way in and out, as most of the tracks are closed to vehicles, with huge fines if caught on these (walking) tracks ( the ones that are not locked up with heavy-duty gates).
Make sure you do a tour of the old town. Well worth it. The manager is very knowledgeable and you may get directions to a great swimming hole. Make sure you take salt with you for the inevitable leeches.
It is a good idea to call the manager first to book in to the camping area and ask if he needs anything! He had run out of insect repellant when we went.
