  • NSW: Sunday 27th March: Turon National Park

We shall head up to Turon National Park which is up near Capertee on the Mudgee Rd. Tracks through here are fairly easy with several shallow river crossings. Haven't fully explored this area so we'll have a look around

Re: NSW: Sunday 27th March: Turon National Park

Another great day out despite the funny weather & one of the main tracks being closed

Airing down at the entrance to the park

            On one of the tracks

The sign says it all :!:

We turned around & found this hillclimb

The track led us down to the Turon River

Airing up at the end of the day

Thanks to all for coming along today. I'm sure Mick enjoyed his first day out 4 wheel driving. Thanks to Stuart for supplying plenty of laughs today

            Video here
            Cheers,

Re: NSW: Sunday 27th March: Turon National Park

Had a great day out at Turon NP

Weather was good for most of the day with some light rain on the way home.

The Turon river was surprisingly shallow.

So we stopped to have some fun in the river...

We stopped at a camping site for lunch

There were fallen trees every where but fortunately not many where blocking the track

You wouldn't believe how hard I had to search to find this spider.

Thanks all for coming today and it great to meet you Mick.

              Cheers,
              Declan.

                  Hi Glenn,

This looked like a top day out. The hunter valley boys would like to do an overnighter at Turon National Park and it looks like a good place to explore.

                  Thanks for the pics...

Sorry I couldn't get there this time

Yes Matt it's a nice area but unfortunately with the main track heading west being closed, most of the area we couldn't get to, but we still had a good time.
                    Cheers,
