  • NSW: Sunday August 21 Newnes State Forest

** DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES HAVING DONE A BACK FLIP ITS ON AGAIN ** sorry about all the bold text/stuffing around.

We are headed to Newnes again to revisit some favorite spots and maybe check out some new places. We'll take Bells Line of road from Richmond all the way to the Zig Zag railway where we'll air down our tyres. The order of events from there is flexible. I'm keen to check out the front diff wombat holes and some of the tracks on the other side of farmers creek dam. We'll try go for a run on the Beecroft fire trail too. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has somewhere in mind.

Please read the following disclaimer if you wish to participate on this trip. If you choose not to accept the terms & conditions therein, you are requested not to attend.

    http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...claimer-Notice

Meeting at: McDonalds at Richmond, cnr of March & Eastmarket Sts. at 8:00am, departing around 8:15 am http://maps.google.com.au/maps?daddr...p=1&sz=17&z=17

Finishing time is flexible; if you want to leave early it won't be a problem. Usually we go till around 3 or 4pm (or later if someone gets severely stuck ).

Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, camera, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure

Stock Prados are fine and I have recovery gear and a couple of hand held UHF radios for anyone who needs it.

UHF channel 28 This is to avoid the interference from the mines in the area who use ch.16

I may have some of my Patrol buddies from last week end joining us. Don't worry, they are very placid, except for the maroon one...

Yeah my friend got the factory diff lock for $500 dollars, that was the cheapest part. I wish toyota would lift there game an offer that as an option.

Then he got the bullbar, rear bar, side steps, 2" lift , chip and exhaust .....

Now he only needs some decent wheels.

Looking forward to to another great day in the mountains. I think we may need a ski gear to keep warm.

We could maybe postpone it till next weekend if that works for you downunder and Max?
