Ok fellas, I've come up with the following, and its subject to change depending on the number of people who are or are not able to attend. Please advise as you can with suggestions and we will see how we can accommodate.


The SA Annual Christmas Day Trip

Venue: Goolwa Beach
Date: Sunday 27th, November (Confirmed Date)

Meeting: At the Goolwa Beach Carpark, 10:00am

UHF Radio: Channel 10

Info: Goolwa Tides, Goolwa Weather


Confirmed:

• Matty & Loz, with the 3 kids (and possibly a mate in a hilux),
• Dave (sapradogxl), with Lorna & 2 kids,
• Trev (big-trev),
• Micheal (120D4D), with wife and 2 kids,
• Andrew (AJ120), with Trish and kid,
• Troy (foxclan), with Glenys and 2 kids,
• John (letsgoplaces), (possibly with passengers),
• Ben (Torrie 72), with wife and 3 kids,
• Dave (wooley).

Please let me know if the above changes or if you have updates/changes (correct my errors?)...


This would be the third consecutive annual event at Goolwa by the SA crew. I'm sure that more shenanigans will follow, however, it is unlikely that I will be taking any further advise from sapradogxl regarding how to best climb a sand dune (unlike last year).

I would like to extend the invite to all new comers to the forum, it would be great to see some new faces, same as we saw last year.

I reckon I spotted you the other W/E (5/11) whilst in Adelaide. May be back in Adelaide first W/E of December (back to work on the 6/12). I will watch this space......

Adam, must have been Loz on that day as I was still at work, back to it on 6/12 also!!! I'll look into the weekend prior might be an option.

MLC, happy to host it at mine for a BBQ, I know Andrew was keen for that. Just depends on when he'll be in town.

There's just no off roading at my joint, but if everyone's keen for BBQ lunch and no stress then it seems like a good idea! Need more input before I'll finalise a plan though...

I get the feeling Rob wants a BBQ on Goolwa Beach again, or maybe he just wants another crack at those dunes at the mouth!

As with everyone, the calendar is quickly filling so I'll watch this space for more details too as Id been keen for a catch-up before the silly season consumes us all...

Hey all. I'm interested. Saturday's don't usually work well because of sport. Although arvo/evening would work for a BBQ or whatever. Happy for a day trip also.

Might just pay to confirm a date, and then work around that. The calendar is quickly filling and emptying my wallet at the same time...

Updated first post, and renamed thread.

Goolwa beach is the current venue, tentatively booked of course for the 27th of November. In keeping with our last two annual Christmas Day trips.

Please advise of your ability to attend, we can alter dates to suit as regarding, maybe.

Bugger about the timing, I have a mates wedding over that weekend in NSW, and then a nice relaxed drive thru NSW and Victoria back to S.A. Its our first( and only) holiday without the kids..ever!! Ive been hanging for a drive down Goolwa beach though,and would have loved to meet some other like-minded 4WDrivers, have to book me in for the next one!
