Taking footage is always a balancing act between enjoying the moment and recording the moment. Looks like the day was just too much fun!!

Sorry guys, I came back home and found that the CF card in my camera could not be used in my computer unless formatting before using again. So all data was lost with some interesting images. Unfortunately, this is the first time this issue happens to me since I have been using DSLR.

I only have some photos and videos from my phone, so I up here one shot at the moment Declan tried to go down to help Shea. But he got stuck right beside Moon rock. Not a real "kind of recovery" because Declan already had a saw.

Wow! Some really good photos and footage!

Thanks for inviting a poor Nissan owner - I had a great time. I always enjoy the PP trips! Turns out Prados arent so weedy afterall. In fact, the only weak car on the trip was the 4.5 80 - it couldnt even cause a tiny shudder in a mildy stuck Patrol!

You mean the Patrol that wasn't even stuck? I seem to remember the wittle 3.0 not being able to shift the Patrol under its own steam. Only the 4.5 had enough grunt needed to shift the beast after the rookie driver dug the Patrol down to the diffs!

The Patrol did pretty well forward and back. Think the only weak point was the egotistical driver that decided to go through the bog completely open to show up a certain 80. And then further show off by flicking a bit of mud around, thinking the lockers would save him... clearly a lesson to be ignored somewhere there. Recon the Patrol would have been OK, if it had any weight left on any of its wheels However, the 4.5, on completely solid, grippy ground took... was it 5 or 6 goes, a set of lockers and a fair old tug on the snatch, to have any effect?

If only you'd had a Prado... would have had me out on the first go!

                  lol.

I wouldnt worry - its perfectly safe. Its not big enough to cause a dangerous explosion!

"Completely solid ground" and around 5 tones of resistance.

This is from a Prado that was used extensively as a Nissan recovery vehicle.

LMAO (but the banter is more fun in real life)

                      Those gears look familiar

I'd like to see some action shots of the Suzuki!

The mighty 80 series tugs the abused Patrol out of the grave that Lyfe dug for it.

See spook in action on the power lines track!

Despite clearance issues and blowing a tyre, I think Shea's zook had way less trouble dealing with undulating terrain than the live-axle Sierra/pooh-box from last weekend.

You did very well on Sunday James. With careful wheel placement you had no trouble with the diff breaker wombat holes (more than can be said for another Prado ) You have certainly refined your driving style since the good old days.

(skip to 2:36 for the best bit)
