LOL that was a crack up, have just watched it again a few times over, cant believe he missed bloody everything, even the rock step he just missed the side step lol I think that was due to the fact he had moved another foot forward through the air before it had time to rebound back down to earth lol............loved it.Cheers Steve

red prado performed really well during the trip. i think it was the BFG mud terrains that gave james the traction he needed in the tracks.

Thanks Declan, you made a good team work to guide me through some difficult tracks.
This old video makes me laugh a lot now, could not believe it was like that. Quite lucky with that jumping style on that rocky track.

Declan, today i spent few hundreds bucks on recovery kit with snatch kit for the rear also, however, I could not find a suitable one for the front.

Do you have some specific photos of the front ones that can suit my rig?

Here is more videos from the trip (from my Nokia N8)

          1. Declan rescued Shea at Moon rock track.

          2. Lyfe remoted his rig from the back

Yeah, I think so. Gotta love KM2 much more than I thought. 2" lift with KM2 gave me a lot easier traction this time.

            * just find out that i can not delete this post now to merge with the upper one. Sorry

Wow James! I would not have guessed that was you driving your rig - talk about chalk and cheese driving styles!

Did I hear right you did actually break something on that trip?

Yeah Lyfe, that's me in that car. At that time the rig did not have 2" lift with KM2 as now. It was with normal Cooper 265/70/16 with about 50% treat.

By the way, i think you hear wrong LOL. On that trip, i did not make any small ding or dent or damage around the car.

Unfortunately, the trip last week gave me something like this:

                - broken small reversed light on the left, and stopped working both of them (left and right). LOL.

By the way, i wanted to replace them by another 2 HID lights on the top of roof rack. Just right time to do.

                - broken 2 plastic screws that hanging front mud guard on the right (Shea found that when we stopped for lunch time, I had to take one screw from the left to keep it up temporarily for the rest of the trip).

Other than that, found nothing wrong after washing the car.

I feel very regret that did not bring my best DSLR which should not give me the damaged CF card later. I got some interesting photos with some special moments in our trip that can't be recovered now.

Hi there James, mate I have an ARB front recovery hook your welcome to if you want it ?? Think there about $25 new but wont fit the 120. Im sure I had another two around here I had fitted to the front of my last 90 diesel but stuffed if I can find them or maybe I left them on the car cant remember but the one I can find was off my petrol 90. The only thing I dont have is that springy bit of metal that goes on with them but maybe wont bother you. Anyway your welcome to it or anybody for that matter who wants it. Worth nothing to me. It bolts directly to chassis rails where the factory one is. I had this with the ARB steel bar..Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve for your offer. That's good to have a look at your recovery hook if you know it still fit my car well. Whenever we meet together, I am happy to try it and take it from you.

James, I think Steve's recovery hook is like this one, and should be bolted directly to the chassis.

I don't believe it will bolt onto your Prado because the bullbar mounting bracket is in the way. You would need to change your Bullbar to an ARB steel bar or similar. If you bolt it onto your bullbar brackets the way your current tie-down points are it could bend the bullbar brackets as you can clearly see this one has been twisted as the bullbar bracket is not strong enough for vehicle recovery.

its a pity I didnt get any footage of that last hill where i bent to zorst LOL, that was a good run up there, and better than last time, last time I dropped it in a hole and The missus hit her head on the B pillar but this time the only injusry was a slightly bent exhast. we have a couple on vids on the missu phone so will try and get them up here for all to see, including the one of me finaling conquering that first set of wombat holes all the way through.

Despite clearance issues and blowing a tyre, I think Shea's zook had way less trouble dealing with undulating terrain than the live-axle Sierra/pooh-box from last weekend.
                            cheers Shea79.

Hey spitfire that is the one that swallowed your prado, Declan may be thinking of another Trip, this was the one you got stuck in when declan headed off to Moon Rock. I warned Russel before he entered the hole to stay far left but he drove straight into the middle and managed to fall into the left hand wheel Rut.
                              cheers Shea79.

Yeah Declan that is the way myn was mounted, had one either side on the diesel but only one on the drivers side on the petrol 90. That metal spring bit (rusted bit in picture) is what is missing......Cheers Steve
