Did the Old Coach Road from Laura to Maytown last weekend, bit of an iconic NQ track like the Old Telegraph Track and CREB Track.
It goes from the old Palmer River ghost town of Maytown, through to Jowalbinna campground 30kms from Laura on the Peninsular Development Road. Fairly tough going, bit over 6 hours to do the 43kms, tyres at 22PSI the whole way. Always wanted to do it, since my old man went in there in the 70's in his Holden powered Landrover and had heaps of mechanical dramas. Fortunately we had none and no damage. Would have liked some grippier tyres then my Bridgestones for the loose steep bits.

The Toyota crowd, two Prados anyway.

Top of one of a couple of steep solid rock ledges, on the track.

Creek crossing and exit.

Rocky road.
