Aah the memories, was there at Easter and want to go back NOW

Looks like you all had a good time. Maybe I should take up the suggestion of leaving a swag in Melbourne for these sorts of trips.
It sure is cooler in the southern states at the moment. WInter is fast approaching and that will mean some snow driving.
Yes there are always trips in & out of Vic, many this year will be in the high country, could always do with a photographer :-) but you will need to bring your vehicle for the Simpson trip........?????
well glad you all had a great time, great to meet ya all and put faces to names, may you all have a safe trip home and mb i will catch ya all in the high country one day soon....
aug, sept are nice, but there are too many people around at that time of year for my liking
Yep that's also a nice time BUT always very very crowded as it's the peak time for fishing, which is why I reckon April-May is better (from an all round sense)...great spot regardless, I have been there at Xmas, middle of the year, end of the year, start of the year, Easter.....can't beat it especially with families (although mine are well and truly grown up these days).

Heres some stats for those that wish they could have come, but missed out
as i said the budget was $2000.00 hoping for some change.
I didnt measure the exact klms but can tell you for me it was over 5000klms.
Melbourne to Brisbane about 1700klms.
Brisbane to Tewantin, up to double island point & back to noosa sunday & then Monday up to fraser via the beach, on at inskip, heaps of tracks covered including up to Prado Point aka sandy cape, back via hervey bay, brissy, then a day run from brissy to melb Monday.
in total 13 days away.
not much over $1000 for the trip 2 weeks away........
add food & drinks, you have to eat even if you are home........
So for those thinking and/or saying how do you do all these trips,
the answer is its cheap! get out and do it! before life has gone by and its too late!
hope to see you on the next one......time to start thinking about the simpson trip starting in 4 months late August....
