  • Tassie Central Highlands - loving November Snow

The family went up to the Central Highlands for the day, for a bit of a run, and ended up in intermitent snow-falls for most of the day.

The kids caught four good Atlantic Salmon when they went fishing, but Zac had more fun exploring the areas where the snow was starting to settle.

Got to love Tassie, I have fond memories of fishing up in Miena.

We went to Tassie in 2009 and I can't wait to go back it was a great place to explore and the different weather across the island give you variety, despite only being a few hours apart.

Looks nice, loved Tassie when we visited, looking forward to going back.

So can't he 2015 GTG committee organize some snow for their event

          Cheers Andrew

Snow won't be the problem (I'm sure Vaughan could organise that) - it's the 3 weeks of bloody rain and wind that accompany it that would suck!!

So true, apparently it was pouring rain in Hobart, contrasting with bright sunny day (with lotsa wind) at our place up north and snow in the central highlands. All at the same time.

The Kids are getting me back into the fishing, and getting up to the lakes in the Prado is helping convince me as well.

I am working on having a route that goes through the snow hopefully for the day so hopefully I can arrange it without the rain and wind that go with it.

Well, after meeting you and VK, my eldest saw "the boys" camping up in Mathinna and asked why we didn't do the same! But with a "shack" only ~45 minutes away, I concede that it is easier to go there.

But now that SWMBO (a nurse) is in her new job, weekends are now free to go and explore a bit more. I just need to attempt to streamline the camping kit out a bit more....
