SEQ - Glasshouse Mountains Revisited

Had a bit of a look at the GHM trek done previously with the PP'ers. After the recent rains of course, there was a bit of the sticky stuff around. Some of the "big wheel" brigade had gouged some pretty fine ruts that beckoned a slick-shod Prado, so the secret was "straddle and momentum!" A fun filled morning though, with surprisingly little traffic (except for herds of trail bikers). Worked out that i spent twice the time on the Gerni than I did on the trails.... !

Ahhhh... more fun in the mud

I worked out a little trick re: the cleaning... take it for a service after your day out and the engine bay gets a clean before they start as they can't see anything 8)

Guess what we found? the centre cap, that Nicole lost two weeks ago, in the bog hole near the power lines!
We spent nearly all today cleaning it, to get dirty again in two weeks!!

I do remember a quote some where ... oh, here it is

Sorry Nicole, we found a motor bike number plate on Saturday but no centre hub. We'll have to go back and look for it 8)

Let me know when you are out that way again, i'll lead you through the power lines tracks and give you a chance to test out your lockers. The track is similar to the powerline track in WA.

Oh yeah, let's do it. I have driven in there a few times, but ride dirt bikes in there couple times a month. Love it.
