  • WA Labour Day long weekend camping trip

When: Labour Day long weekend Saturday March 1st to Monday March 3rd

    Where: Dwellingup

Cost: normal camping fees apply. Adults $6.50 per night, kids $2.00 per night

The whole idea is to spend the nights downing a few ales and telling tall stories ... and spend the days doing a bit of exploring on the absolute maze of tracks around, swimming in the river .. and, generally, relaxing

I'm imagining there'll be a few of us heading up Friday night to get in early and create some space.

Let me know if you're interested so we can get an idea of how much space we need.

    Cheers
    Chippy

                Hey Phil,
Yer I should be down that way over that weekend . Where abouts are you staying? We are going down on the Thursday and staying in the caravan then returning on the Sunday, We will be at Lane Pool, where ever that is as it will be the first time down there for me :? . I believe there is quite a few different spots to camp at down that way?
Anyway it would be good to catch up over that weekend and also to meet a few different people. I have a uhf radio so what chanel would you guys be on?
                Cheers

                  G'day Craig

We're planning to stay at Hoffman's Mill, or one of the other bigger camping areas, depending on crowds.

Ch 16 is the usual starting point.

Be good to catch up over the weekend.

                  Cheers

No mate - just finished. It only runs for 3 weeks. You will just have to imagine this one at 102mm (legal is 80mm)

We should get down too, just have to figure out when - there is a huge event in Perth that weekend that we are supposed to be part of. But there is a huge event down south of Dwellingup that we want to be part of too....

Hi Chippy and everyone, trying to change plans for the long weekend so we can come to Dwellingup. The camping area you have in mind would we be able to get our camper in as you can see it is not like the rest. One other question we have a friend who is also keen not a Prado owner but a Mitsubishi OK if they decide to come.

                      Cheers

                        Hiya Steve

The Coromal will fit in quite nicely.

The road in is nice and easy .. and were aiming for the bigger camping grounds so there's heaps of space.

No worries with the Pajero .. as long as they stay downwind

                        Cheers
