      • Ah yes,, the door.

        Well went into Toyota Mandurah.
They took some happy snaps and said that they had seen worse.

That was tuesday, today got the call that it had been approved as a warranty repair and to book it in to the panel bangers and that they had a rear door instock ready to go. Just needs paint.
So yep, the rear door is getting replaced under warranty. (which runs out in 2 months) just call me lucky jeff.
They did mention that its common and toyota had a fix for it. extra welding in that area.
I also asked about the front end cracking problem that we have all heard about, Service manager said he had not seen one yet. So thats comforting to know its not as common as the rear door thing.

Will try to post pics tonight.

booked in tuesday for the swap.

Will look harder at that rear wheel carrier now...

          • I dont think the cameras stuffed. Just the CF card needed re formating which wipes everything off it. I'll take some when Linda gets home.

Then I'll start a new thread in the body section in 120.

            Jeff.

              • Nice work Russ,

You guys are making it really hard for me after just moving to Tassie last Christmas.

                • Tassie and missing the main land.

Do you see many Prados driving around Tassie with Pradopoint stickers on them?

I think there is another Pradopoint member there some where.

You will have to post some scenery shots with the Prado in the foreground so we can all share your scenic isolation.

                  • The lower hinge with the crack behind.

                    The crack arrowed.

Note the door latch to opening.

Ill start a new thread in the 120 body/ chassis section.

None with Prado Point stickers yet.

                        • Those who went on this trip will know that to get to Harvey from our camp it is an approximate 25minute trip.

Well, Tam, Hayden and I went for a wee little drive into Harvey to get some supplies and it managed to take us well over an hour...

The GPS was not our friend on this particular day. Instead of following the main roads, we or should I say I decided to follow some of the tracks that the GPS haid laid out for us as an alternative route to Harvey...

Where we first came unstuck was on Clarke Road when it literally dissapeared into the water.... Now I'm talking of a made, formed and marked road which was also graded that dissapears into the Harvey Weir...

Check the attached link and you will see what I mean. Have a look at where Clarke road ends up in the other side of the Weir as well. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&h...39911&t=h&z=15 Now I know that these Prado's are pretty capable 4x4's, but that road is taking it to extreams

                              • Before I met up with you guys we heard how good 4x4ing in Harvey was but had no idea where to go so headed down there. We ended up in that exact spot twice. Like I said last weekend, not really on the way to somewhere but a good spot to go play for a few hours! Awesome when it's wet! There is plenty of rutted hills and places to lift a wheel or two  or just play in mud!
