Finally got it off the bitumen

Well the wife took my crewman out Saturday morning so I wired up all the aux outlets for the Prado so that there was no excuse why we couldnt get it out for a trip on Sunday 8)

The aux outlets meant that this was running for the kids so kept them quiet.



So Sunday morning came and we met some mates to head up to Bribie, and must admit I was very impressed. It was a nice change to see the others bouncing all around in their Luxes while the Playdo stayed level and smooth. The Bilsteins are an awesome addition to it and made the ride really smooth.

Also was good to get home and not be knackered from fighting the car all day. I am really looking forward to a few more trips in it. And the day was great with good company and really cruisy just what I needed to get me motivated to work on the Lux again. To remember why it is we get out there with these things. Only problem is the wife needs to take more pics of the cars and less of the kids :roll:

It is one of the best trips out of Brisbane for all the family - especially if you live Northside.

I saw you there and wondered if it may have been someone from pradopoint. I was the one in the charcoal prado that passed you three times (long story - forgot to checkout campsite 10) while you were stopped at the day use area near the old lighthouse on the inland track.

We had camped up there on saturday night. For those interested, campsite 11 I think would have to be the pick for those with 4 kids.

Yeh saw you nice setup you have on that thing.

Also the sand was a little soft on the way out :lol: and it was off the bitumen 8) The tyres are a 265/70 STT I had the MTZ on the Lux and thought they were a little aggressive for the wife especially as I was supposed to bring it home with ATs on :twisted: If it was my daily driver I definately would have gone the MTZ as they are the best tyre I have had to date 8)
