  • Frasert islasnd Solo?

Had a trip planned but just had the other two trucks pull out. Just wondering if there are any issues going solo?
looking at getting up to Sandy Cape as well as the tourist tracks. nothing on the east coast
any feed back would be appreciated
I consider myself fairly experienced and have a full complement of recovery gear

Plan around the tides right and you'll be fine.
Where are you staying and have you been before? Sandy cape is a rush trip to get up and back on the same low tide and can be quite isolated in out of peak times, but if you plan to go up on an early low tide, enjoy the day up the top then come back on the following low/outgoing tide it'll be much more enjoyable.

The rest of the island is nothing too hard for someone with beach experience and common sense, if you do get in trouble you won't have to wait too long for someone to come along who will be able to help, even in the quiet times.

Easy. As MRW82 said, just plan around the tides. We do it solo each year.

If you have a tyre gauge & compressor, & some experience, it shouldnt be an issue.
