Halls Creek Caravan Park will probably be your best bet. There is another caravan park just outside town at Old Halls Creek which is a bit Spartan but OK. You could stay at the Kimberley Hotel f you want an apartment. They have a good pub with counter meals and a restaurant there too.

Bungles you can camp just inside the park a few kilometres from the highway or you can go right in to one of the two campsites closer to the domes.

They must have fixed up a fair bit since we were then to be described as spartan but OK, things such as toilet seats, doors on the showers and toilet cubicles and shower roses all fell in the "optional" category when we stayed there

If you can get one of the private river camps at El Questro I reckon that is the go.

        Cheers Andrew

As far as I am aware you can't book ahead into these national parks. First in best dressed. There's a big 24hr stopping/camping spot just off the highway a few kilometres from the entrance road that many people use because it's free. They camp up and drive in for the day. There's always been space available at the sites close to the domes. All the caravanners have to camp at the first site just as you get into the park.

There's a fantastic spot 40 odd kilometres outside Halls Creek along the Duncan Highway. The locals call it Komaterpillar Lake (after Komatsu and Caterpillar machinery built a dam wall to create a beautiful lake that's over 2 kilometres long and just full of bird life. Take the main track in (turn right at the drum) and follow your nose to either the lake's edge or deviate around the lake to some secluded camping spots.

Okay, there may in fact be a way of booking into Purnululu (Bungle Bungles). I'm lead to believe you need to book for the caravan park near the entrance but I'm not sure about the 2 camp sites further in.
                You can book here:

When are you going? From now on things are probably starting to get a bit quieter so I don't know that you'd have to book at the bungles camp grounds. We stayed at the campground at the northern end(Kurrajong?) Which was nice.
On the Duncan hwy, Marella gorge was great, make sure you spend some time walking down the gorge to have a good look. We swam there even with the freshies around!
There's a few campsites at the Halls Creek end, really nice spot if there's no one else there is Palm Springs. Lovely swimming spot.
Sawpit gorge is alright but not a lot of space.
We camped at Caroline Pool which is nice enough, plenty of room, camp in the creek away from the dusty carpark.
The campsite at Wolfe creek crater is good, typical NP camp with bollards but quite open so if the winds blowing you'll know about it!
Not sure about camping at Hells Crack, sorry, Halls Creek. Always just stopped for supplies there and kept going.
Anymore info needed just ask, and I'm in Darwin at the mo if you want to catch up to look at maps.

                    Cheers for the info.
Im heading off in less than 2 weeks. I have everything covered bar Halls Creek. Just have to sort out where to stay. I might even stay around Old Halls Creek. Seems like theres a bit more to do and a couple more campsites.
U were pretty keen on swimming with freshies.
Wat sort maps have u got Whitey?
And did u find it hard to find Marella Gorge. I have read up on it and and said its tricky to get into.

Just got normal road maps. Marella gorge isn't hard to find if your looking for it, from memory the turnoff is on a big sweeping corner and then you go through a gate, but you could drive past and never know it was there if you weren't looking.

Workmate just came back from Bungles. He booked a campsite as he wanted to make sure he could get a spot where he was allowed a generator. But it turned out there was heaps of places and campsites only half full if that.
