Jeff i fitted the plate and they do have loose spacers.

Chippys idea sounds good if thats easier and i dont need to lift the car to remove it there is plenty of room even to get my gut under

        Chippy,

Do you still have the templates for the bash plate? If so, I might take the opportunity to make one - mine is just about completely stuffed.
        What materials are required?
Anyone else interested in a bash plate? I can organise to buy the materials, saves everyone running around buying the same stuff.

          Hi Leachy

The template's real easy ... we take mine off and trace around it

Works well ... because its also been modified to suit the winch on a Sovereign bar

The only difference is that the winch unit has a little bit of extra material trimmed away ... so the template will work perfectly for the standard bar as well.

Bloody good idea to do a bulk run though.
It might save a lot if mucking around.

          Cheers

Isn't moto's bash plate the rear one only?
That aside, I am interested. So is the consencus (?) to have it here? Pretty sure we can arc the welding we want done. Your shop has no under cover either does it Jeff?

I would be interested in a bash plate, or plates. there are 3 that I'm aware of.
              Front, middle and rear.
Front goes from the bull bar to under the radiator. (not necesary as I have the ARB which comes std.)
Middle goes from below the radiator to the rear of the engine (ish)
rear goes from the middle one to the cross member under the tail of the tranny.

I am after the middle and rear ones. I wasnt planning on buying them, but was going to make my own.

I was quietly thinking I might get a template of motos also. but didnt want to say it as it might upset someone trying to make a living selling them...

I have a bit of under cover. about enough for 8 cars.
The dock area is well weather proof. the workshop itself is only small.
Just bit of a walk between the 2. if its not wet you can park right outside the WS rollerdoor.

Come round tomorrow (or during the week) and have a look if ya like. at least You'll see it running during the week. I'll give you a tour.

Oh and Matt. I only assumed that you would be using the hoist. Sorry if I put up something that you couldn't provide. Guess I made an ass out of me....

NANA Jeff, all is cool. Just when family, money, work and friends all get mixed in together all is not always good. Just know, anyone keen to help themselves where they can will always have help from me where I can. Sit on your hands though and not much will get done by anyone!
Again, put your hands up for work and we as a group surely will be able to sort something out.
                    Matt

I was thinking middle bash plate. But would certainly be interested in a rear bash plate as well.

My VX is just over a month old with not much in the way of accessories, a part from a couple of off road racing stripes. I would love to see what the other WA boys (and girls) have done in the flesh. Is there any chance that a new guy could attend (this would actually be my first pradopoint outing)??

I'm not sure how much help I could be, but do have some skills in the wood area, and have been told I'm a very good lackey

I still have to clear the weekend with the boss, but I'm sure I can make some of the day available.

                            Cheers,
                            Ray.

my middle bash plate is looking a bit sorry and Chippy's is all strong and sharp looking. Envy will get the better of me and if there is a mass fabrication process then I'd be into that too.

But, snorkel is my priority job for the day...

That is a pretty good price, the one to fit the diesel is a little more for some reason. Somewhere around the $250 as you posted earlier.
I'm thinking I might sneak a look at yours and get a stainless one made up, I should be able to squeeze in under that price I hope. 8)
