Righto, after some discussion and change of plans I can confirm the tech day. It will be held at Jeff S's work aiming for an 8am start. If you have a reasonable size job planned please don't arrive too late as I'm sure Jeff doesn't want to be at work into the wee hours. Speaking for myself I wouldn't mind maybe going out for a coldie or two as a group afterwards.
Again, I hope everyones plans are coming together for parts etc. and any advice wanted, just ask.
If you can just discuss on here some basic plans for the day so we have an idea of numbers and jobs planned would be great.
PM Jeff S or myself for an address and we'll see you on the day leaving more modified than when you arrived.

I am looking for some assistance with a suspension and polyair bag install & more than likely a snorkel.
Parts have been ordered.
Going out for a coldie sounds like a great idea.

Your location says Pilbara.... Is it old or are your coming down for the day????
Matt and I spoke this evening and its all good for the sunday 25th May.
We have Mig welder, Oxy, lathe, mill grinder, drills , air supply, forklift for any heavy lifting a good range of tools etc etc for tasks. ( I have all things necessary for a snorkel fit)
Matt said he will be bringing some air tools. but if you want to do something specific like woodwork then you will need to either see if someone has the tools and would like to let you use them etc, Or if you have them then bring them along.
I have small quantities of metal flat and square tube but if you think you'll need something more substantial you will need to bring it. Or if you want I can get a pretty good discount on metal. Just ask.
e.g. Like if you want to start a bash plate, either use this day as a way to find what you need to buy, or have a good think and pre buy what you will need. Similarly a set of sliders.
Even if you have a mod in mind that might be a little different to the norm we can all have a chinwag and see what the think tank can come up with.
Post what you want to see or do on the day and we can get an idea of what can be achieved.
If the list is still long by the end we can work out another day to continue.
Jeff.Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Message to the better-halves of the blokes attending tech day: 8)
Any of you girls interested in popping by on tech day to check out the works in progress?
I am keen to drop by for a brief stop for a bit of a squizzy to check out the accessories (we are funding) being fitted to the Prados (we probably funded in the first place!). I don't want to be there all day (BORING!!!) and don't want to get in the way of a blokey. boys kinda work day (thats way too much testosterone for me! ).
I could offer to help....but not quite sure my skills would be of any assistance.... except for the following contribution:
I was going to suggest that perhaps we each bring a platter of food for either a brief lunch stop or a mid afternoon pit stop (to feed those hard-working blokes  ).
Althernatively we could come towards the end of the day and join up with them for a few beers. Though I am keen to see the work in progress rather than just the end result.
A suggestion from a wise man is that we could drop in, feed the boys, have a look, take some pics and then head off to a coffee shop for coffee and cakes.....
Honest boys I am truly interested in the process, not checking up on my fella!
