                Big Spotties - Small Spotties??

Alice Springs Techi Day @ Fergs...

The day started like any other winter day in Alice, slow and laid back. Fergs rang me at 9:30am to comfirm what he had in plan, but first he wanted me to help him get some firewood first. So off we went to his work place to chop up some old sleepers. We spent an hour or so slicing up these old antiques which would make any train spotter cringe with dissapointment. Even the saw we were using was an antique to say the least, but it got the job done.

Once I finally got all my wife instructed jobs done around the house I packed the Vitara with whatever I thought I would need and got myself and my son around to Fergs. First job of the day was fitting the battery tray. The instructions were a bit vauge with written discriptions and B&W photos on photocopied A4 page. So with a bit of common sense and a touch of the dodgy bros throw in an 1 1/2 hours later we had finally almost fitted the tray. Around this time our other PP mate Mark turned up for a bit of a chat.

Mark hung around long enough to give us that little extra help in finishing of the mounting of the tray before he shot through to more important duties. With the tray in, now was the time to start looking into the spotties. Fergs wife thought since it was her car she had the final say on what spotties were going on fergs toy. Fergs and I were thinking that the large ones would look the best, althought his wife had other ideas and remarked that his little finger was large enough and he didnt need any other attention. So the decision had been made, the boss laid down the law. Without any other dicussions the small spotties were mounted.

The loom for the spotties was real straight forward, what wasnt was intergrating it into the old loom. Since Fergs got the idea about mounting 2 relays, one for each spottie made for a little investigating for it to work. In the end, were sorted it out. Smiles alround once we switched her on, mission complete, till the next one.

                Zook.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, sadly Fergs is at work ATM and hasnt seen this post. Im sure he'll leave a comment for sure. We're got a few vehicles to get through yet and a few more tech days planned in the future. Mav did'nt show either as he was working as well, yet we will catchup at some other time. We are all stoked that you guys are coming our way so time to get the Prados ready.
