Well .... after spending Saturday watching the Fords win, Wallabies lose, and knowing the Dockers v Eagles games wasn't going to be one that I wanted to watch, I decided to put together a little run down to Wellington Dam and then head back through to Harvey .... via the mud.
A couple of phone calls later and I had a small crew of victims ... oops ... I mean comrades.
Wellington Dam was pumping. There's been a lot of rain up here recently.
The tracks we were looking for had all been closed off ..... and maybe that was a sign of things to come ...... but we did find some fun hills to play on.
Leachy had to do some impromptu wheel balancing.
Some of the tracks were pretty tight.
Others were just rutted and slippery.
There was even plenty of mud.
Jeff was trying out the new Coopers Drag Slicks
Then the tracks became a little more challenging.
Leachy needed a little assistance with this one ..... but by the time we reached this bit there was no turning back. The only way out was to winch.
... and Jeff had a small challenge on his hands here.
This was the result of a little snow plow work in the mud.
Thanks heaps to those poor souls who agreed to come with us on this trip. It made for a great little social trip ..... but we also had to rely heavily on each other ... just to get out.
Cheers
