Chippy, did you snatch out the surf in reverse?
Wouldn't really call it a snatch .... more like applying a gentle walking pace tug to overcome the sand's inertia and allow the surf to get up on top of the sand again.
Once he had a little bit of forward momentum he virtually drove himself out.
Had to do the same with Wayne's 90 just a few minutes later .. but I got Bek to do that one as I was on a work call  :?
..... but we won't mention that .. will we Wayne ... just in case Chris is on-line
Cheers everyone for a good morning out sorry that I could not fininsh it all but had to get home would have been nice to meet everyone but I am sure this will happen in time.

It was a choice of getting snatched over the top or giving it another go and risking a slap on the head from Libby for going too fast :?

I know how you feel, my better half can often be seen WALKING up some of the climbs, she doesnt like those high speed hill climbs. but sometimes its got to be done eh.
Some of those pictures look like the sand bowl/old quarry at the end of Alexander Drive near Lake Gnangara is that correct?
If so, thats a no go area for anyone other than 4WD trainers which is unfortunate as it used to be a great area to have some fun in. The residents that live on the street will often call the Wanneroo council rangers if they see any 4WDs heading up the road.
Its also a meeting place for gay liasons (not that theres anything wrong with that). I went up there a few years ago to have a look to see if it was still being used much and there was a bloke parked in his work ute in the car park. He got out of his vehicle as I got out of mine and followed me up to the track to the bowl.
By the time I got to the top I was starting to sweat big time and I was doing my best to grow eyes in the back of my head. I turned around to see where he was and he was standing over in the bush with a horrifying grin on his face about to pull his trousers down  . I turned around and bolted back to my vehicle and havent been back since.
All in all not a good place for any self respecting Pradopointer to be seen I dont think (if its the place I'm talking about).
Thanks to all for a fun day. It's really quite relaxing not having to concentrate on where your going or on coming traffic - just follow the leader. Mind you - the problems are when the anyone of the group in front get lost. When at the rear - there's more chance.
Looks like we missed the most fun at the end of the day. Ah well - next time.
