  • TRIP REPORT :NEW YEAR BBQ on Stockton Beach

Well thanks to Glenn and Melissa for coming along as well as Joel and his fiancée ( Sorry Joel but your fiancée's name escapes me at the moment) who turned up later in the day. We had a nice afternoon down by Tin City and the temperature was quite nice with a cool breeze blowing. Had a bite to eat for lunch and a bit of a drink and BSed a bit. Then Joel went back via Lavis Lane and Glenn, Melissa and ourselves went down and out through Anna Bay end. I forgot the compressor whilst packing everything bar the kitchen sink so I had to duck around to the other place to air up which was great considering the line up at the servo. Nobody around at the other place .

Anyone interested in seeing where we went here is the my SPOT webpage which shows where we went in to Stockton Beach and where we stopped to have our BBQ and where we exited the beach. Also spot number 24 shows the location of the other compressor. Spot 12 shows where we stopped for our BBQ and if you zoom in using the satellite image you can see what is known as Tin City.

Re: TRIP REPORT :NEW YEAR BBQ on Stockton Beach

This is not so much a trip report as a BBQ report,
It was great to catch up with Mav & family again, and with our very small convoy of 2 we aired down & headed up the beach to tin city, found a semi sheltered spot behind some small dunes and had a few beers & a few snags.
After Joel & Ang turned up we decided this just may be the first PP trip were 90's outnumberd 120's (2-1), but Mav forgot his camera and I couldnt be bothered getting mine out, so sorry Mick there are no photos. Very slack i know, but I had beer in my hand.

Sorry Joel, I am hopeless with names and status. ops:

Anyway it was great to meet up with you both today.

Nobody brought a camera with them so unfortunately no pics of this one, however the 90's outnumbered the 120's 2:1

The Yowie must have scared her.
Can the truth be told that I was throwing my guts up on NY night, along with about 8 other people we went camping with! Must have been a virus. :?
(BTW - Notice Joel was posting, while I was holding my own hair back!)

Trojan - did you get to meet the Yowie? I shook his hand!
