TRIP REPORT : TECH DAY (Brisbane) on Page 3

Hi Guys,

I think we are just about due for another Tech Day for all those around the Brisbane area and beyond.
Time to get together, have a BBQ and a couple of beers and work on our playdos :lol:
Any ideas and interest on where we would have this let me no your thoughts.
It would be great to get together once again, plus i dont know about some of you guys but i wouldn't mind Matts D.I.Y. Wiperjet Washer install :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Well the Tech day for Brisbane is set.

Where : 12 Harley Court Eatons Hills. (Masso's Place)
When : Sunday April 19th
Time : 10:00am meet at Masso"s place for some fun and laughter, :lol: and i bit of tech stuff :lol: and a BBQ lunch with some beer.
Cost : BYO BBQ lunch and drinks(Remember Do not drink and Drive).

Hi Brett

Sorry I can't provide you with any hosting venues but I will keep my eye on this thread as a tech day sounds very interesting.
I have purchased a bit of gear from UV 4X4 at Pickering St, Enoggera (used to be TJM but now an ARB reseller). Derrek seems a switched on guy with an eye for business so perhaps hit him up. He also does tag along tours.

Ran into LFaR at a camping store on the Gold Coast this morning and he mentioned a tech day for SEQ coming up. I would love to attend, but like Grey Nomad I have no facilities to offer but I am keen to learn more and meet a few more PP. I am a good GOFOR and I reckon I could learn heaps
If there is to be a tech day before I leave for PP GTG. I have a set of rated recovery points to fit and this could be a simple project for my Prado on the day.
Keep me in the loop re a suggetsed day and I weill be there work requirements permitting,

We're keen! Unfortunately we can't offer a facility either, but we are good at bringing beers! The wiper jets install would be a great project

A difficult time for me at the moment but I'm there if the dates fit in.

Am keen to finally meet some of you as I haven't been able to make one trip this year due to other commitments.
I can't say much about the wiper jet upgrade. Mine appear to work quite well as they are.
I may have some roof cross rails and rhino rack to assemble and fit if the tech day is just prior Easter.
Do me a favour and please don't make it the 4th April.
Like most others have said. I can also bring the beer and maybe a few Bundy Dry Limes.
Will keep an eye out and see if a venue becomes available on this thread.

My shed at Eatons Hill is available as per the last Tech Day. The barby and fridge are primed and ready. About time i got back into playing with the Playdoh rather than just commuting ! If its suitable let me know some dates and will see if they work!

Trust me, the stock ones are shit compared to the Hilux setup.. :twisted:

I've had a current model HILUX so I'm aware of how the Wiper Jets worked. There maybe some merrit in doing a Wiper Jet upgrade, but I can't notice a real big improvement for me to warrant the mod. My Prado is a Series 2 - 2008 model, it may have improved wiper jets over the 1st series.
Until I see how much better it is I'm stick'n with the standard jets. Just my 2c.

I Have been speaking to ARB at coopers Plains about doing a tech day at the work shop, Free BBQ and beer for them of course, and even organized for one of the tech staff to be there. They were all for it until the big boss said na not happening :evil: unless it was done after hours like 6.00pm to 9.00pm :shock: .
i thought to myself this might work. So i went and spoke to the big boss about it and he said no not really unless you are prepared to pay for the lighting and staff member, so i said dont bother :evil: .

I think a good day would be 18th 19th of april or the 25th 26th of april. These dates suit me dont know about anyone else.
