Either weekend will work for me, the 25th is Anzac day so some might have other commitments? I don't think you can ever get a date that suits absolutely everyone.

Look forward to hearing a date locked in!

Weekend of 18th/19th April is ok for me at this stage.

Maybe get a bit of an idea as to how many interested... perhaps someone more IT capable than me could put up a poll on the forum as we did for the last Techday?

I can't say much about the wiper jet upgrade. Mine appear to work quite well as they are.

Trust me, the stock ones are shit compared to the Hilux setup.. :twisted:

I've had a current model HILUX so I'm aware of how the Wiper Jets worked. There maybe some merrit in doing a Wiper Jet upgrade, but I can't notice a real big improvement for me to warrant the mod. My Prado is a Series 2 - 2008 model, it may have improved wiper jets over the 1st series.
Until I see how much better it is I'm stick'n with the standard jets. Just my 2c.

Sorry OT for a bit. I have a Nov '08 build and think my washer jets are OK too so I don't know if they upgraded them or not. BTW I haven't compared them to the Hilux ones.

I think a good day would be 18th 19th of april or the 25th 26th of april.

Both proposed weekends are fine with me at the moment but as I am on 24/7 call might have to make a final decision nearer the dates.
As for the Hilux Washer upgrade, I have Sep. 08 build and replaced the originals with Hilux a week after the vehicle was delivered in October.
Just no comparison in my opinion, Hilux washers"flood" the windscreen, Prado originals only trickle feed.
Enough comment and feedback in the original post but if Toyota have changed the originals in later production then I am sure the credit should go to Matt

The initiator of the thread is the person who can modify their first post and make the poll, or if you like I can set up the poll easy enough with a new thread. Thanks again Masso for allowing us PPers to use your nice big shed.

I must say the 2nd mod I did was the Hilux washer jets. Wouldn't be without them. I will have to think of some other mods to do for April. I am looking at buying rock sliders in the near future so hope I have a set by then.

Will be good to catch up to meet some more PP people. Just a heads up guys. If you want hilux washer jets at a reasonable price, contact PML120R (Peter). He may be able to pickup a few a little cheaper than retail.

The 18th or 19th suits me fine. I generally get into trouble with old mates on ANZAC Day so can see no sense in not continuing a reputation built up over many many years. Make it the 18th or 19th please.

No disrespect to PRADOGXLV6 in my earlier post, it may have been taken the wrong way in hindsight.
I'm very keen to see these Hilux washer jets in action though.

Set a date and i'll be there. I'll bring the Bundy and Coke.

I need to fit a set of OI front recovery brackets so maybe the ideal opportunity to get some expert advice and meet y'all. :wink:

We are interested in fitting rated recovery points to the front of the Prado as well, would this be something that would be able to be done on the tech day?

I will have to think of some more mods to do for the tech day - but here is my initial list:
1. Move the SG2 from the dash and double-side-tape it onto the top of the rear view mirror - run the wiring down the RH pillar into the plug (if the cable is long enough that is).
2. Install Pananah battery tray - (if I purchase it in time). Isolator and wiring to follow later.
3. Install a new Blade Fuse Box into the back of the Prado (Cable already run from main battery) - secure onto the side of the rear drawers and connect new sockets for power to fridge and other devices.
4. Connect power/wiring to the rear camera.

I am sure the list will grow by the 19th.

Who is putting their hand up for the official photographer on the day. Got to get pics up on PradoPoint to show the WA boys we can do it just like them. :lol: :lol:

I will have the barby there if you want to bring some snags or such for lunch and of course the shed has a fridge! Appreciate a quick post if you are attending.
