Re: Sun 19/04/09 - TECH DAY (Brisbane)

Thanks all for a great tech day. What a turn up! Best ever. Can't beat Masso's place for a tech day. Heaps of room and a work shed to boot! It was good to catch up with some of to "old crew" and to meet some new. I'd just like to say I did wash the Prado when I got home. $15 at the car wash to get most of the mud off (apologies to the Commodore waiting for the wash bay) and another 2 hours at home to finish it off. It's fun putting it on but a pain to get it off.

Thanks Masso for the venue. Was great to meet fellow Prado Owners in Brisbane. It usually takes me a while to remember names, so maybe a few more day trips are on the cards.

Thanks to all who discussed/showed their modifications as well.

              Cheers,

Was great to meet you all. Saw some great setups, and learnt how simple it is to change the washer jets to the Hilux type. Thanks heaps. Stuffed if I could remember everyones name + user name. ops: It might sound nerdy but it really would be good to have nametags if it was agreed. :?: Thanks Masso for supplying the venue. I am jealous of your shed. :!:

Glad to host the Tech Day guys... great bunch of folks. As expected, not a lot of work got done, but certainly great fun getting ideas from everyone else's rig and generally have a chat about what we all have in common. A nice relaxing day , with perfect weather. Snapped a few of the crew hard at work and a panorama of the great rollup. I think the score was about equal for Silver and White Prados? Always willing to put it on whenever we see the need and one of these days we will get into some serious technical stuff!

All good fun and thanks again for the great rollup!

Just to prove the work. The mud was a result of camping at Carnarvon Gorge last week when it decided to rain to the point of having to close the road to all vehicles. After re-opening to 4WD access only we explored some of the surrounding areas. A great place to visit.

Thanks Rick for the venue and for putting on the BBQ. It was a good day to see so many Prados and their owners doing a few well-deserved mods done. Can't wait for the next Tech Day.

                            Rick,
Thanks for a great day and thanks for the contact for the new tyres. My first Tech Day and it will not be my last.
Thanks also to Peter who now has the windscreen washer jet changeover down to 10 seconds for the right hand side and 16 seconds for the left hand side. And all done with a borrowed screwdriver. Like all others I am impressed by jets. Much better than the originals.
When Geoff arrived I thought he was in a unique brown Prado but it turned out to be silver after very close examination by many of us.
There is no doubt about it, a Tech Day is a great day out with many things learnt and many new friendships made or renewed.
Great venue - thanks again Rick. Lots learnt - thanks Peter. Great company - thanks all

Re: Sun 19/04/09 - TECH DAY (Brisbane)

It was good to see that the sun came out for a great day. Also great to put some names to faces. I've got plenty of inspiration now to carry on modifying the 120 now.
Thanks to Peter for the Washer Jet upgrade. I still can't believe how quick the installation of the jets were - ....could be Guiness World record in the making.
The BBQ was an excellent way to catch up with everone and find out who will also be attending the GTG.
A well deserved thanks to Masso for putting up with us all, providing the venue with plenty of parking and area to work.
I totally agree with having these more often - Maybe next time I'll have some Shocks and Springs to fit.

                              Regards

                              Stuart.

                                Hi Guys,

A big thankyou to Rick for holding the venue and for the lunch. Wow what a turn out we had i think by memory we had about 13 vehicles there and what a site.
Matt, you will be happy to know that what happened at the tech day was........................................

Washer Jet upgrades . What a great idea Matt and thankyou to Pete for fitting them.
I think the only other tech bit was Gordon running some cable for his anderson plug.
All in all a great day, thanks guys.

                                Cheers
