Well, one could fairly say the Flinders Red off road Virginity has been taketh away!!
I have a mate from work with a very noice GXL 100 Series V8, who is an off road vet for many years with his 80's and said if
we had the time one day we can head out.... Well that was today ! YIPPEE!!!
Armed with the Waeco, snatch kit and compressor we headed off for a "Beginners Guide" to the Powerlines area.
Well for this little black duck, it felt more than a beginners guide, but then again, I'm a noob lmao!
We went up from Canningvale throught he back way up to Kalamunda for some breaky at Bakers Delight.... yes... somethings are tooo important.
Then we headed for the trail, after arriving Dave said looks like they have fenced off and dug up alot of Mudpools and tracks making them impassible
Here is were we started.

Dave with a leisurely stroll over the entry to one of the tracks

And another area

My turn!!!
![](http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/Gollum72/Picture167.jpg)
Very happy with the Geolandars GO12's, in first, crawling along, great grip, got to
an uphill section that I wouldnt take a monstertruck up  ...... (little exagerated of course )
But it was quite rocky, and in 1st gear I managed to lift the front wheels and poo my pants at the same time, but it was all good
Got very comfortable with the Red as we went along.

![](http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/Gollum72/Picture170.jpg)
The lines
![](http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/Gollum72/Picture179.jpg)
We got to a stage where I heard David over the handhelds.... " Um you better pick another line, I just bottomed out " Landcruiser = higher than Prado = Golly we shit pants very soon , but saying this, I picked another line, and the Red just danced over the bumps in 1st gear steady and slow as
she went.
Here is the girl getting some air time on the exit of the one the trails, note the coke can.. hahhaa. Kodak moment for sure.

It was a great beginners guide to the 4wding from my friend Dave, talking me through sections and everynow and then he got out
and went on foot further to see if the track was ok around certain bends and we went on or turned around.
I must say the Prado is very versatile in getting over these sections, and even impressed Dave, who is a LC hardcore fan, and he was really impressed with
the prado's capabilities for a stock suspension setup like mine. His was stock apart from accessories like you can see, but being auto he just cruised along, where some stages I had to play with the clutch a little to get the momentum.
What fun!! so there you go Chippy!!! she got dirty after all...
Woot!!
