Yeah you've really got a good set up there Pomp. It's been a mission for us to find a nice camping area in amongst the trees like that for some time now. Maybe we'll take a look at this one during a quiet period. Hate crowds which is certainly a problem at popular spots. The other 1/2 also stipulates hot showers which cuts potential sites down kinda brutally....

I quiet often go to Nanga Mill camping, but never on school holidays or long weekends.....I made that mistake only once.

Looks as though you had a good camp, and I hope the usual load mouths from Dwellingup were not there.

Am trying to do the Fawcet track next time I am up there, but plan on starting from the top end of North Form Junction (near the turn off to stringers camp site), will give a heads up to all if and when that trip goes ahead

For IP.....I take my shower with me. Battery operated shower head, shower tent and depending on weather - either solar showers to heat water or just use the fire/stove. The only thing I do not like up there is the drop toilets in summer. They need to have the tanks cleaned more often due to the smell

We'll be up for a Capt Fawcett track run if you want more company, depending on Scout commitments.
We've done it before, we started off Nanga road though - nice pub at the end :wink:
We're regular campers at Nanga so we'd probably make a weekend of it 8)

The only trouble with the Fawcett track I found was that most of it was on the road (if you go to the Quinndanning Inn) its 100k overall with 60k on the road, then you basically come back on the same route. The Heritage track may be a better option as its a 48k loop and all off road. (but no pub).
Either way Im happy to tag along on any of the tracks.

Hmmm. I'd have to agree with you there, but Ok we have an ulterior motive for doing the the Fawcett Track. :wink: :wink:
Does the Heritage trail go anywhere near the Long Gully Bridge? :wink: :wink:

We could go to Long Gully bridge and detour back onto the heritage, not a bad spot for a picnic.
