Re: TRIP REPORT : Fri June 19, SEQ Day Trip:Upper Ormeau

Just a quick one, My neighbour and i took his SR5 through the southern end yesterday and i must admit was very challenging when wet. Those hill climbs tested wheel placement and clearance of the vehicle. We reached Cliff Baron rd intersection and decided to pull the pin as we ran out of time. Was wondering if the rest of the track was the same level throughout the rest of the circuit? only because i wouldn't put my stock Prado through the southern end due to clearance issuses.
Good judgement comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgement...

My memory isn't the best at the moment but I'd say that most of the hill climbs are south of Clive Barons Rd... the northern end towards Vennor Dv was mostly washouts that you could choose to avoid if you wanted too.
There was the one steep descent though that was a rocky surface and should only test the clearance if you encountered a stray rock.

LFaR has done it a couple of times though so when he's finished gallivanting around in the Red Centre I'm sure he could answer more accurately.
      Cheers, Leon
