    TRIP REPORT : NSW : Aug 16 Putty Rd. area

    I met up with don1 & MDS69 at the Colo Hts. garage where we had a coffee & then headed about 20 minutes up the Putty Rd. We turned onto the track where Ryan was waiting for us then & aired down.



    We then followed the powerlines track encountering a variety of track surfaces ranging from some very rocky sections on the hills to plenty of sand in the valleys







    Quite a few steep ascents & descents requiring 1st low range.











    Some washaways were encountered which made for some interesting driving but we all made it through.







    What a top day, weather was perfect & the company was great as usual! I'm sure everyone had a good time & certainly gained some valuable 4wdriving experience.

    Thanks to all who came along today, & thanks also to the people who I'm sure work tirelessly to make the Pradopoint forum available, your efforts are certainly appreciated :!:

    Talk about a small world....I just looked on the map & you would have been about 30 k's as the crow flies north of us so would have been out of radio range. I have some questions for you about the area you were in but I'll do it tomrrow.

        What a great day, thanks to Glenn for the organising and guidance and Don1 and MDS69 for making the day an enjoyable one .

        Arrived at the track just before 9 and only had enough time to air down (rode on 24psi for the day) before Glenn, MDS69 and Don1 drove in from the Putty.
        The tracks around are pretty good with a few nice uphill and downhill sections.
        apart from the "wonderful" dust, the valley sections between the powerlines are fairly sandy and nice to drive on
        Watch out for sticks!!! As some of the tracks aren't used much there are plenty of sticks just waiting to get trapped by the step boards :lol: Glenn will confirm this :lol:
        Will post some pics when I can.

        Glenns thoughts are reciprocated by me for those who keep the forum running and active for all to enjoy.

            Great report and photos Glenn, yesterday was the perfect day for a bit of wheeling. Those steep sections look like a bit of fun!

                  What a great day (as usual).
