Hi All,
Following up on the posts re: the Wellington Dam trip it seems like we have some December birthdays coming up. These must be a good excuse for a run somewhere not to mention a pre-Xmas gathering.
I would also like to invite PPers to a BBQ at our place in York. We have plenty of room for those with campers and could make our Tvan available for anyone (?? TrevL) who doesn't. There would also be no problem with a few tents. We have a self contained studio (it looks likes a church but isn't) but we should probably keep this for showers/loo etc. I suggest a BBQ in the evening because it would be cooler and when we light up the gardens at night it is a nice spot. We don't have a pool but there is plenty of space (2 acres) that is all fenced and secure. We are ten minutes walk from the centre of town.
We can muster 4 Weber BBQ's and would supply a selection of York snags, some beer and wine etc paper plates etc etc to start things going so if we got ourselves organised we can get people to bring along some meat, salads, desert etc etc.
How about a run @ the powerline track and a bit of the bush out that way in the morning and then gather at our place later on. Those with campers could park them at the Lakes and then pick them up again before heading up to York.
I think that there are a few possible takers so anyone who would like to come along lets get some idea of when would work. We are flexible with dates.
