SEQld Day Trip - Late July

Anyone in SEQld want to get their Prado's dirty soon.

I was thinking somewhere down south of Brisbane as North has been trolled by PPers numerous times.
I am thinking of Saturday 24th July.

Any suggestions as to:
a: Locaton
b: Date/Day

Looking forward to getting out and about again.

Like always... I can't get out on a Saturday... :cry:
this Sunday, weather permitting the FIL and I are taking the boat out... but Sunday the 25th is free at the moment

The 25th is out for me the weekend after is fine, I had a thought the other day (limit myslef to one a week) maybe we could do a "car rally" with a BBQ afterwards before the GTG, not sure how to do it but am happy to help.

If you do a Saturday run with a BBQ afterwards for the GTG... I should be able to make it to the BBQ after work. Would be good to work out some finer details, hopefully lend a hand to LFaR with the planning.

I dont mind either way which day it is, but it seems any Sunday is possible. I just want to get my wheels dirty again....(I'm a sucker for punishment).

Leon, it would be good to go over the finer details of the Trip for the GTG and gather some details of things everyone who goes down with us may need, such as one map per vehicle, GPS, a list of "Must Haves" etc if thats on the agenda?? As a personal preference, I for one would like to have both the GPS and a paper Map. Has anyone got any 1:25K maps for the trip south?

If you want (Matt wants) a hand organising the trip, I will be able to assist in this endevour as I now have plenty of time on my hands since taking a redundancy from work due to a restructure. I can assist in organising paper maps (not sure of the price yet as I dont really know where we are going for certain) and commence organising a detailed route card for the trip.

Maybe we can convince LFaR to lead a reverse Rathdowney/Maroon/Condamine trip? That was a heap of fun.

So, since it's late, and I think I've misread something, is this tomorrow or next weekend (1st Aug) ?
'cause if it's for the 1st Aug, I reckon I can make that and would love to do the 14 crossing run if that's what people are thinking.

Sounds like it may be a plan then

1st Aug - Condomine/14 crossings run (provided it's not flooded out - after all rain is forecast all week).

Failing that, isn't there some back road to O'Reilly's ? Duck Creek Rd or somesuch ?

Has anybody done any tripping in the area between Jimboomba north west to Ipswich through Flinders Peak and Mt Perry conservation parks? 1st August sounds good to me.

Bugger me, a reverse Condamine and or Rathdowney Trip would be different. Sounds fun.
Unfortunately I've got no more Day/Weekend Passes til the 4th September.

Sounds like you'll all have fun between now and then.
Will have to keep my eye on the trip reports.

OK Guys, seems I have been missing a few posts for a day out. Lets pin down a new date as I see a trip has already happened on 01 Aug.

Im free any day - got to love really looooooong holidays. lol
Maybe just a day out exploring like Richo said - something different would be nice.
