Put me down I will have to check my Saturday roster and the Missus will have to change her Saturday, Sunday shift but it sounds like a great chance to get away.What if it is a fire ban weekend.Are you allowed to stay there still.Not that it would be very inviting then,I remember being at Willmington in Fourty plus heat,and it is not fun when you're out in the middle of no where.

Like Rob said, i'll be in for the 11-12th but have to be home sat night (maybe sunday morning???) to be at my mates wedding...
Of course - Loz being heavily pregnant and ready to pop may hinder the driving oppertunities while she is in the car, that I'll have to play by ear!!!

What if it is a fire ban weekend.Are you allowed to stay there still.

Yes. I assume its gas stoves only if a fire ban. There is a kitchen in the shearers quarters also, and other accomodation for the non camper people. But we will need to arrange sooner rather than later.

I'm watching this with interest. I'm planning 'something' for the weekend, so if there is a gathering somehwere I would probably be keen to join. I was going to do Grampians, but apparently there is significant flood damage there so not sure how many tracks would be open....

Campertrailer booked, so looks like we are in: me, Lorna and the 2 kids

The question was asked "Is the site powered????"

Lets just hope the weather is kind and it will not be too hot.

Also, when are you all heading up? Friday or saturday?

Ladies and Gents.

Not sure about the site power. My camper is set up for both powered & unpowered, but I have sent an email to Jane & Warren who own the place to find out. The website is:

Lea and I will head up Friday morning and happy to convoy. I think Matt & Loz are planning to head up Friday also but they will confirm.

To make this as easy as possible on everyone, I suggest we all book our own accommodation and say you are part of the "Prado Group" That way, as a group we will get the discounts PROVIDED at least 5 cars attend.

So far we have:
Rob, Lea, 2 boys (15 & 17) with camper trailer Arrive Friday, Depart Monday
Matt, Loz, 2 boys (4 and 12) (are you staying in the shearers quarters Matt?) Arrive ?, Depart?
Dave, Lorna, 2 kids with camper trailer, Arrive?, Depart?

Would appreciate any others copying this list and adding their name, support crew (kids), accommodation type and Arrive/depart dates. Please Bold it when you have booked in directly with Bendleby. :P

I have the camper trailer booked also. I will ring tomorrow to see what site availability is like. I want to go, but I will not attend if we're looking at high thirties that weekend. Instead, I will head to beachport. If it means I lose the deposit then so be it! I don't want to bake in the sun and eat a million flies :-)

Sorry guys wont be able to make it. Withy selling one house and buying another I'm going to be busy for quite a while. On top of that the kids have cubs and scout camps weekend before and after (I think) so weekends will be busy and have too much to do on the old house to finish getting it ready.

There are no powered sites that I'm aware of. This is not a caravan park. Actually I don't know what is available at the Oval other than a sheltered camp kitchen. Other sites north of the office only have a fire place with a stack of firewood available care of the old railway sleepers through the area.

I'm not wedded to Bendleby so if we all want to change the destination speek up Either way we need to book soon!
