well maybe not Matty, who will probably diverge continuously from the pack in order to get stuck, like an overexcited child at the show!

Glad my boyish & playful dendancies are not lost - should make for a good laugh and some great photos though...

Nick - is it true that the Beachport to Robe run is easier than vice versa?? I've heard this a few times. Might do beachport to RObe first if that's the case.

I wouldn't have thought that going one way is harder than the other. There is a fairly steep hill that can cause soem issues on the nothern end if you are heading north but I must admit I don't recall goin over it a few weeks back so maybe they have changed the tracks around a little. Between Nora Creina and Beachport is good fun and has both beach track and inland tracks as well as access to Nine Mile Drift which has a track that heads around the edge of the lake into Beachport.

No - that's why comments like this have always perplexed me and why I asked. I did the Beachport to Nora Creina leg about 6 years ago with a friend (I wasn't driving) and we didn't have any real problems. I've never done north of Nora Creina though. We'll just have a chat with the info centre when we're there and go on their advice.

It's all about the same north and south. Just watch out for the tripod south of Nora Creina. Not a pretty sight :shock:

Yes, I am happy to assist pulling Matt out, by that I mean I am happy to lend him my shovel, and my co-pilot to dig him out.

Guys - if you don't have a sand flag it would be wise to invest in one for the trip. At the very least the leader and rear need to have one. I have a DIY one.

Rumour has it that at the 4wd and camping sho he bought:

1. ARB 14 inch trainer wheels for the soft sand and
2. TJM under body floaties just in case the tide comes in

Nervous yes, but only cos I'm going to have to pull one of you out of the soft stuff and I can't figure out which one it will be - cos i'll have my trainer wheels on and theres no chance of me going under with them (unless i take them off - cos I'm a big boy now!)...

Lori on the other hand is cracking up on the couch as I read out everything you've said - and says that she'll definitely be there =wouldn't miss this for the world and thinks that after all this ribbing - the first person stuck is absolutely going to cop it! Of course, if its me - everyone's just going to say "figures".
