Certainly was a great trip guys. Looking forward to the next one, sooner rather than later hey?

Matt - the story regarding your bogging varies depending on who tells it. But one thing for sure is: Matt was bogged first! So all who had money on him can collect their winnings from Rob!

Photo doesn't show it - but Rob was bogged behind me, received a snatch from a passer-by.

What the boys are up to now - not sure - but there was take of heading to 5 mile drift on the sunday morning - rumor has it that Rob has damaged his bash plates also since i left while enjoying a play time in the dunes!

Was heaps of fun - but i have repairs to do!!! And so do a few others by the sounds of it!!! :shock: :shock:

The photo CLEARLY shows me waiting for you. Unless you can produce photographic evidence I deny I was bogged. My recollection is I simply stopped behind you and got my straps out ready to pull you out yet again.... :wink:

I can confirm I did some mods to the ARB plate. Straight wasn't working for me so it now has a scupltured and sand blasted curve. Cannot believe no one got it on video

AND as for that un-named fuel station, I want to ram the diesel filler as far as it goes and yell fill her up!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

There may be some photo-shopped photos where your rig is coloured silver and mine black, otherwise we think you are suffering from a rare disease that occurs from spending too much time around electrical currents and water. The syndrome is called "Electro-motion-imaginery syndrome. It's not fatal mate and symptoms will fade once you are back on dry land.

Dave has got back to me and sending photos from him and Paul. Haven't heard from Ian yet. I need all photos and videos including yours to put together the vid etc.

I have some video of your rig in the sand and will obviously give everyone a copy of the full set. Searched my photos and the only snatching was me pulling you out again. I checked the rear of your car to see if I was there but nup, get some sleep Matty, your delusional and obviously working too hard :wink:

Hmmm, i suppose if i was getting something other than grief from Loz about actually being bogged that she may have got out and taken a few snaps...

You were lucky this time - seems that no one managed to get a photo of you in that unfortunate position... Mind you, no one thought to get any photos of me under my rig pulling off bash plates did they?

Some "special photos"

SA PPers meeting to discuss the days activities, mods, wishlists, ones that got away and other b5llsh7t fuelled by Dave's never ending supply of red grape juice (and chocolate)

and finally, Ian got himself a spare spare. Apparently he used it for things like going for a shower, picking up the fish and chips and general hooning around the caravan park. Don't think it's a genuine ARB or TJM accessory :mrgreen:

Well, sorry for the slackness in getting my pics up! Rob - the vids are being sent to you today, and YES - I have converted them for you using Internet Video Converter 2.5 (a great Free program if you're looking for one).

Anyway, we left on the Thursday evening and headed to the cooring.
hitched up the hired Kimberley Kamper which was a great rig, although darn heavy on the tow bar!


Pulled into Parnka Point about 11.30pm and tried to find a camp site in the dark. Couldn't really use the spotties as there were a lot of people sleeping. It was hard assessing the campsites in the night!


Woke up on the door-step of the coorong and cooked up some bacon and eggs (these campers are set up so well!).



From Parnka, we took the Old Coorong Road all the way to Kingston almost. Beats the bitumen, and there were no other cars (in fact, a camper van turned around about 1km in because of the ruts ;-) )






Checked out the local wildlife. Plenty of these, and also some Emus!


Saturday morning saw us heading to Robe via a VERY dusty road!This is what my air filter looked like when I changed it when we got back home! (need a snorkel)


Anyway, airing down on the first day.




Then, we missed the first turn off so took the lake ring route, and Dave led us through some pin-stripe territory


Finally, we made it out onto the good stuff


We were then confronted with a very steep and somewhat soft hill (I have no pics of this one, only Vid)
Matt and Paul (Rodeo) dug the bottom out for me with their bash plates. Thanks Guys

From there, it was just some good old fashioned fun!




We missed quite a lot of the trip on the First day because Dave led us the wrong way! So on the Sunday we went in at 3 mile rocks, and found a lot of territory we hadn't covered the day before.








We had lunch atop a big dune, as the wind was quite strong on the Sunday down on the shore. The patrol and ute were not in our group




One of the kids must have gotten into the esky while we weren't looking


It certainly is a beautiful part of SA!


Can't wait for Bendleby and the Border Track trips coming up!

I do have the ability to easily take video and select photos from it.

Great write up and pics , I have had a mate enquire about your spare-spare. He wanted to know if you can add a 2 inch lift to it? (refer to the special photo)

Rob - my 'Spare - Spare' was a 'custom' Job. Pretty sure AJ120 might be able to put something like that together if people are interested?? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
