Not meaning to rain on Big Trev's parade (I only have 6 anyway) :wink:

ITEM: 1kg ABE fire extinguishers (Only 6 available)

CONDITION: New (Boxed)

REASON FOR SELLING: Incorrect spec by customer (They now want 2kg units fitted) They've paid a restocking fee, so I only need to sell them at my cost.

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $30 (plus postage)

I hazard a guess that these FB10ABE extinguishers are roughly the same (if not the same) size as what most PPer's have tucked up beside the middle row seats, or mounted in front/under drivers seat?

Dont want to make this sound worse than it already is, but the powder is also quite corrosive. Dont be surprised if you will need to replace some electronics down the track.

We had a work truck broken into, the only visible damage was the smashed drivers window, but the insurance company rote it off becouse they also let off a 4.5kg powder extinguisher into the cab. I have also had one go off in the back of a work ute, my tool boxes had surface rust within a week.

Also, a query about the 'corrosive nature to the chemical? As i read the above by Yota from A small laugh... at my expense! just the other day. Does it say anything in the MSDS? I did do a quick check on the net and the extinguisher is 'recommended' for car, boats, caravans, etc. Never hurts to double check though...

Lastly, if your willing to put two aside for approx 2-3 weeks (i'm at work at the moment) then i can pick them up when I get back. With my excellent powers of mathematics and logical thinking - comes to $60, right?

Yes, this is the most common physical size in the 1kg type extinguisher, there are also some on the market that are shorter in height with a larger diameter. The box size (100x100x370) is a reasonably snug fit... so the actual unit might be approx 90 dia by 350 tall.... can measure exactly if you need to know.

As for the MSDS I haven't looked at it yet. I'll dig it out and post a link.
