  • Staun tyre deflators, set of 4

Hi, having read mixed reviews re the Staun deflators, the majority tending to be negative, I thought I'd see if anyone wants to offload their set. I'm still not convinced that they are useless, but not willing to spend $90 find out they aren! PM me pls if you are keen to say good riddance...

    Cheers,
    Steve.

Don't buy the cheap eBay knock-offs, they're crap. I have a set that you can have for free (unless I binned them).

The genuine Staun work fine for me and a few mates who've got them.

          krypto,
How bad are the ebay ones? Was going to get a 2nd set as they are only <$30 but if they're no good....

I purchased a set of Staun deflators. They work well. But I found that because I use my vehicle in many different terrains I run different tyre pressures so I find the one setting on the Strauns not suitable for my use.

i have the bushmans brand tyre deflator from tjm and found it awesome it has a continuous or intermittent function and for $25-30 it is money well spent and it is very accurate.

my old man has a set of the straun tyre deflators and says they are good but depending on how far your tyre valve is screwed in you won't get exact readings all round.

I set each one to a different pressure if I think I'm going to encounter different terrains, but usually, 2 for gravel and 2 for sand is usually enough. It just takes longer to deflate.

The ones I bought were unusable, wasted hours trying to get them to work.

I love my Stauns, I have 2 sets and they are set in pairs on different pressure settings, 14, 18, 22 & 26. Just takes a little bit longer only doing 2 wheels at a time, no biggie.

Thanks guys, didn't mean to stir up the old deflator debate! Just back online now and reading responses and PMs.
