120 Series Drivers Seat Belt (Grey)

I am after a front seat belt for the drivers side of a 2005 Prado in Grey if anyone knows of someone wrecking one? I live in Northern NSW and have no problem paying for postage on top of a reasonable purchase price!

Do you realise that it is not legal to sell secondhand seat belts? A private sale would be your only hope as wreckers shouldn't be selling them.

I didn't know that. A couple of 4x4 wreckers I have spoken to have them for sale, but the wrong color?

Found one and fitted it. I also did some checking (through a Mate in a legal part of the motoring industry), and he advised it is NOT illegal to sell second hand seat belts. As he pointed out, 'if repairing a repairable write off, nothing says you have to replace seat belts etc to get it back on the road'. Also with these later seat belts with electronic Pre Tensioners, if they have bee in a fairly severe accident that caused the air bags to go off (and the pre tensioner), you would know about it as soon as you looked at this part of the mechanism.

Anyway, I don't want to start a debate here.

Fair enough, not sure where you are from but it might be a state thing? My old man ran a wrecking yard for 25 years and selling seatbelts was always a big no no, in fact we weren't even allowed to give them away. Mind you that was in the 70's and 80's so a fair while ago.
