17" Prado 120 Alloy Rim

G'day,
Chasing a single 17" alloy rim to suit my Prado 120 series. I do not require it to have a tyre as it will be fitted to match my current ST Maxx's. Arrangements can be made for pick up and cash hand over in Perth.

Mate I'm keen as on one of those for sure. What are you thinking of changing too? Anyhow let me know when you have enough buyers I'll ask around myself to see if my other mates are keen. Should catch up at some stage and hit the tracks before my rig heads north, good excuse to iron out any bugs once it's all together.

Somewhere in the $250 - $300 region, as that seems to be the going rate (from what I have researched) and they are in pretty good nick. What were you thinking is reasonable?

As many already know, a set of 4 or 5 genuine 120 alloys on fleabay go for 600.00 to 1000.00
Depending on condition/location/timing.

I am looking for a set of 4 in good condition.
Of corse I want to pay the cheap end of the scale $6-800,
As soon as they come up close enuff for me I will buy!

You can get speedy grande wheels for $800 a set of 4.
They look very similar.

Speedy Grande wheels are OK, but they use a tapered wheel nut rather than the OE shanked nut.

So that's probably a good thing.
I have noticed you need to be very carefull with all the genuine Toyota alloy/shanked nuts
They do go missing a bit. Generally Vehicles with tapered nuts don't have this issue.
I still like the Toyota system :-)

I think Peter was saying that it can be a problem if you mix genuine alloys with the Speedy brand as the nuts are not interchangeable.

For instance, if you run genuine rims on your Prado and want to put a similar looking rim on your camper trailer, or you want to run a second spare, it would be more convenient to source a genuine rim rather than getting the Speedy rims so that if you have a breakage or failure of parts, you don't need to carry different types, etc.

This is why I think that whilst genuine rims and the Speedy Grande rims look similar, they meet different needs for different people.

If you decide to change your mind on your price range ####, send me a pm. Otherwise, if 2-3 others out there also want 1 rim each in the price range I have suggested, then we can close the deal on my rims.

I think this will be fixed properly at SL1 but most of the time i observe this case that the diameter or circumference didn't match with the alloy rim size. So please make sure before it to fix.
So time i saw this problem that the diameter of screw also harassed. So should it to be checked too..
